Victims of abuse in quarantine

Domestic abuse bill: proposed changes to protect victims explained

It’s a sad situation for all of us that we are in lockdown and while most of us are in quarantine some public workers have to go out every day to ensure that we can stay inside our homes safely.

In some countries, people have still not taken up this matter as seriously as it is supposed to be yet still managed to sneak out because nothing will happen…in short putting so many lives in danger.

But a heartfelt sympathy to those who have to spend this quarantine with their abusers for 24/7. Imagine the kind of depression and pain they must be going through every day and can not get a single moment of peace or an hour alone. A lot of developing countries avoid taking up this matter or even talking about it because it is a part of their culture to brush things off and hide it under the carpet. Calling 911/emergency helpline doesn’t help every time in every country for help because how the locals think about such matters affects these cases in a more detailed way than we can think of. Many times these victims are unknown to the world because no one came to help them in the first place because culture comes first.
If your culture is like that and you believe that human life is much more precious than any tradition or culture then let’s take a vow to help and support these victims in whatever way we can so that the abusers can know that no one will entertain their shits anymore. That in the future we will have lesser cases of abuse either physical or mental ones or both.

Life is too short for all of us and we need to protect each other and look out for each other because that’s what humanity is about unfortunately not every human has humanity in his/her heart and we need to encourage people to help each other by doing it ourselves first.
